this is a great book for horse lovers like me! you should read it!

I stand by my opinion that, while this book is good, the religious stuff is very triggering for me.

So, I suddenly got really into this book, which is great. I will say, though, that the way Amy's parents talk about God is weirdly triggering to me. I'm not a fan. I really hope that the other books explore how weird it is.

It's so weird. I sped through the first book, could not put it down. But I'm having a harder time getting into this one. I don't know why, because Jane Smiley is one of my favorite authors. Maybe all the talk about jumping courses and lead changes is confusing. I can't understand what lead changes are. I know some stuff about horses, but I definitely don't know as much as Jane Smiley.
