Status Updates From The Diary of Lady Murasaki

Nevermind, I actually like her better than Sei Shonagon I think. There's more sadness to her that I only had a glimpse of in Shonagon's writing.

The introduction is so boring 🥱 I get that it’s explaining Heian court life for the Western audience but there seems to be a bias in the small commentaries here and there. Maybe I also didnt need to read the intro—I dont claim having deep knowledge of Heian court life but I have an idea. I really just want to get into the diary proper.
