Status Updates From Butterface

The book is so short and I am already judging the writing style. Also, why are people so mean like looks don't matter 💀

I had this in my tbr for a decade, might as well read it now.

I think the author's purpose of this book was to not judge people and everyone is beautiful in their own way. Just because Beth has scars on her face, people call her a "Butterface" (But-her-face) but she learns to get through it and love the way she is and what she looks like.

I think the theme of this book is, "Keep fighting and don't give up no matter what happens." I think this because in the book it showed how everybody thought that Beth was ugly but her personality is very strong. Beth stays strong and is very tough and she goes through everything that other people put her through.

I just started reading this book and i think that the authors craft is joyful or happy. The book is in the sense of not being sad. It is starting off with saying that Lucas was just plain out lucky. Maybe thats why people call him Lucky. This is showing why this mood of the book is joyful, it is saying how just one character in the book is just Lucky and even his friends call him "Lucky".

This short story was nice because the message was really clear. I think it was about being happy with who you are, and don't take life for granted. Lucky helped her do that.

I know that Beth has a right to ne hurt, it implied that Lucky thought she was ugly. But he tried not to take her, he told her not to go. He tried to explain. So why did she make him go? To hurt him? Maybe she wasn't. surprised, maybe she planned this would happen all along. Can Lucky repair their relationship?
