"He turned and found himself face to face with the Badger. Peter leaned forward, put his arms round the beast and kissed the furry head: it wasn’t a girlish thing for him to do, because he was the High King."

Also Caspian seems to have grown a lot in a short time, being king must have gone to his head

Also it just occurred to me, if hundreds of years went by in Narnia after one normal earth year, then imagine how much time must have gone by between the Victorian era in the Magicians Nephew and when the kids find it in Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe...

“I wouldn’t have felt safe with Bacchus and all his wild girls if we’d met them without Aslan.”
“I should think not,” said Lucy.

I need to read some of Lewis's theological works apparently, but his viewpoint seemed to be that paganism wasn't the enemy of Christianity but the forerunner, early people using their imaginations as they work toward the eventual truth

Ok, so this is a confusing interruption of pagan bacchanalia in the middle of this Christian allegory, and it seems like the point is that Aslan is there and it's ok within this framework because nature is being controlled? But he hasn't touched upon all the aspects of this, and it still comes off as weird at the very least.

Ladies and gentleman, this simile was written by an Oxford educated, celebrated writer:
'Treading delicately, like a cat, Aslan stepped from stone to stone...'
He is cat!

“You’ve no right to try to force the rest of us like that. It’s four to one and you’re the youngest,” said Susan.
Lucy is not forcing anyone to do anything, and this allegory on faith is getting a little silly

It's ridiculous that they always think Lucy is lying even though she's proven over and over she always tells the truth. She is a bit of a dingbat, tho

“I don’t,” said Susan. “I’ve never seen these woods in my life before. In fact I thought all along that we ought to have gone by the river.”
“Then I think you might have said so at the time,” answered Peter, with pardonable sharpness.

“Golly! It’s a bit uncomfortable to know that we can be whistled for like that. It’s worse than what Father says about living at the mercy of the telephone.” If CS Lewis could only see us all glued to our smart phones now...
