jg ballard really likes the word chromium. apparently, chromium is the element, and chrome is a metal plated with chromium. you learn something new every day. i think chrome is the right word for how he's using it, but chromium does sound cooler, so. just searched the book and he also uses chrome multiples times, alright man.
