Status Updates From Hobo Quilts: 55+ Original B...

I picked this up at the library by chance and it's really interesting to read. There are photos of quilt blocks with designs that each have a meaning known only to those riding the rails. And there are stories from men who once rode the rails during the Great depression telling of their experiences as hobos, and trying to survive during a really rough time in america's past.

So far, I like the way they weave quilt block patterns in with short descriptions of life during the Great Depression. Great book to pick up and put down so perfect for bedtime reading.
