Book club is taking a break from this one because we hate it so much. Overtly offensive in how it explicitly aligns queer/disabled identitarian or rights-based politics with state violence generally (see J.Bliss 2016 for an excellent critique of how Puar does this with Black intersectional feminism). Beyond useless and grounded on fundamental misreadings of its cited influences. This is really bad you guys

im gonna keep going bc the top review says skip the intro and im almost done but this is the most deeply academic text it references so many theoretical concepts with no explainer, it assumes you just know and live and breathe- it is kicking my ass!!! the affective turn?
