Chapter 8: I disagree with three more interpretations and still have ten pages left to read.

This is a good book. It’s well-written and pleasurable to read. It contains an index and each chapter is followed by notes.

Chapter 2: I disagree with the author’s interpretation of Franklin’s “Articles of Belief”.
Actually, there’s no reason to “interpret” what he wrote in clear and simple language.

Chapter 1: The works of Bacon, Newton, and Locke were the catalysts for British deism which filtered over to the American colonies by 1755.

I find this to be a fascinating book, but I can't read it linearly. I have to jump around trying different passages, and I find myself wandering down different rabbit holes of thought. I am enjoying the process immensely, and I think I'm learning a lot about our history, each of these thinkers, & about myself and our modern culture. And that's kinda the point, isn't it?
