Status Updates From Sammy Keyes and the Skeleto...

Static vs. Dynamic: My static character is Officer Borsh. He still has a grumpy attitude, and doesn't like Sammy. When he was with "Muscles", he wanted Sammy to leave, because he thought she didn't have good evidence. My dynamic character is Sammy. She is learning more, and making new friends. She and Marissa have been hanging out with Dot, and went to her house for Halloween.

CONFLICT: The conflict in my book is character vs. character. The main character Sammy, is an enemy to Heather. Heather always tries to get Sammy embarrassed or in trouble. Then, Sammy tries to do the same to Heather. On page 130 it says, "Then I remember Heather-Heather laughing at me, Heather telling stories about me, Heather making phone calls pretending to be me." This show the conflict of the two characters.

PREDICTIONS: My prediction is that Mr. Bell will try to sell the store, but Sammy won't let him. On page 116 it says, " 'I want to sell it, all right.' " and " 'I've put my whole live into this place, and what have I got? Negatives in my account.' " This is showing that Mr. Bell is running low on money and can't keep the store up anymore, so he wants to sell it.

P.O.V.: My book is 1st person narrator. I know this because the main character, Sammy says things like "me and Marissa" or "Marissa and I". Also, Sammy is the main character who is explaining everything. Sammy is the only one who is talking and it does not switch to other people's perspectives.

I love this middle grade novel series, it's so much fun to reread!

better than book #1. Fascinating characters.
