This is so bad. I recognize a lot of features from later books of hers that I remember enjoying, so now I'm wondering how well those would work for me on a reread. It doesn't help that angels aren't something I gravitate towards in my fiction choices.

"I am heaven born and now hell bound."
So. Dramatic. I'm finishing this entirely because I still have nostalgic feelings attached to this author and I want to be able to write up a full review, but my eyes may roll out of my head at some point.

Ohh, I think I finally figured out Daemon's supposed deformity. I'm pretty sure it's his mismatched eyes. It's just ridiculous.

They're now married and can't spend 5 minutes together without lusting for each other. But supposedly they can't be together because Daemon thinks Arina will be ridiculed for...sleeping with her husband. Okay.

I'm pretty sure it's "striking a chord," not "striking a cord." This is the second time those words have been used and spelled that way.
This book is subtle as a sledgehammer. Daemon is tormented by his past and feels he's too tainted and deformed for someone as pure as Arina (I have no clue what his deformity is supposed to be). Arina is blonde and pretty.
