Super interesting! Done with the chapter on Medea, who (like Circe) is related to the sun god Helios and in the primary sources is not always portrayed in an exclusively negative role. Even her infanticide depicted by Euripides, Kerenyi takes care to point out, follows the code of honour proscribed by her culture. (which is completely alien to modern Westerners of course)

chapter on Circe is full of information about magic and occultism in ancient Greece, I like, fits the overall point about pre-Christian Greek/Roman religion having way more constructive relations to the dark destructive side of femininity than modern Western society does
