I like the personalities of Sherlock and Watson (so to speak), and I can see potential for slash fanfiction, but I feel the series is moving away from spending the majority of its time developing the characters and toward spending its time on political upheavals in England in the late 19th, early 20th century. I’m not interested enough in those topics to wait for character crumbs.
