Read this back in high school, so we’ll see if this still holds up..at least to me.

The concept of a character having the ability to sense a maiden or damsel in distress and magically appear before the maiden can easily give second hand embarrassment to the reader but this time the scene is endearing.
This moment one of the few times I've seen this trope where the trope is actually funny and cute.

Night sensing Riiko's distress immediately with his ring is not only hilarious but endearing.
Riiko is always rejected by boys so witnessing her be treated kindly and protected by someone is a pleasant sight.

This is my second time fully reading this volume of AB.
I had no business reading Absolute Boyfriend in middle school. LoL
