Current Chapter: Chapter One - “Causes of Variability”

I understand well enough, I believe, that natural levels of variation, even when definite variability would be the logical state of affairs is mentioned, is present in population. The concept of indefinite variability, and the potential pigeon-holing of genetic variation due to poor reproductive success is fascinating so far.

Current Chapter: Chapter One - “Variation Under Domestication”

I do enjoy the succinct, but in-depth, summation of the book’s research points and explanations. The generalization of the importance of genetic diversity, the rules of ecological development and specialization, and natural selection sets the stage for later interpretations of the text.

I am excited.

Current Chapter: Chapter Zero - “Introduction”

Finally, after much establishing and explanation through the introduction before this introduction, I have reached the words of the author, Darwin. Right now, it is going into the standards and process of formal publication of his work. I look forward to reading more about the general theory itself.
