The last sentence seems condescending, but I agree with everything else that Prosper told Bo. This dialogue resonates with the overly cynical part of my mind that doesn't trust people anymore.

I'm surprised that the Conte didn't care about Scipio's age. He just wants Scipio's help.

Continuing me re-read of childhood favorites

Prosper thought he could outsmart Victor by dyeing his hair and Bo's hair. That didn't work out well. 😖

He had already paid for his four coffees.

That's a *LOT* of coffee. Victor enjoys caffeine.

I appreciate Prosper's morals and how he's adamantly against stealing.

I didn't finish a chapter last night because I kept dozing off with the book in my hand. 😅

I get why Prosper doesn't trust Barbarossa. He's a shady character.
