Poor Janessa deserves much better than Dvonte.

Oh wow this detail about the groom being from "Raoul's Midget-Breeding Farm" (for "well-hung midgets hired out as escorts") is super dated. Was that term used in 2002?

Meh on Tempest's holier-than-thou attitude about herself being "conservative" in how she dresses and stuff. This was published in 2002, but the attitude feels more 70s/80s.

Not a fan of how judgey Tempest is of Janessa's sex life.

The book seems as though it’s coming to a great ending. I love the fact that Geren bought the house right out. No mortgage!! Pew.. yea ok! lol! That’s definitely the life. And the house will forever remain in the family. That’s great. Looks like Tempest will get her happily ever after! And Geren agreeing to support Janessa and her child by letting them stay on the bottom floor rent free is extremely generous.

It’s been a good read! These last few chapters have been a page turner from Janessa and her pregnancy to Dvonte not taking responsibility. Geren sees him for who he really is and Tempest stands by her I TOLD YOU SO to Janessa about Dvonte’ in a way. I can’t help but feel like Dvonte has trauma from his childhood. Anyways, it’s is a lot more interesting towards these last chapters.

I like the space Tempest is in with Geren. She’s allowing herself to open up to him. It seems as though she has decided to give him a chance. And even though she said the relationship is new, she loves the vibes she gets from him. And I love that for her. On the other hand, Janessa needs to get a clue!! Like girl, you know you guys aren’t going out because he views you as a booty call. Some men are Ughh 😑

Wowwww! I am not surprised that Dvonte’ wanted to play for all the S&M stuff but wouldn’t spring to buy a decent meal for his “flavor of the week”. Ugh! Idk what Janessa sees in him. She really needs to open her eyes to see that Dvonte’ is only interested in what she can give. Smhhh! Geren please set your bestfriend straight. He has no respect for WOMEN at all!! Ughhh 😑

Enjoying the relationship that’s trying to grow between Tempest and Geren. Not sure where Dvonte’ and Janessa’s relationship is heading. Honestly it doesn’t sound as though they’re trying to get to know each other. It kinda feels like they’re using each other when or if needed. That can been very draining. I definitely wouldn’t want that type of relationship.

The book is interesting but I find my self reading to get to the juicier parts. lol! Guess I’m impatient. But over all it’s a pretty decent book. 😊

Finally getting to the heart of the book!! Yayyy 🤗 Excited to see how Tempest, and Janessa interact with Geren and his best friend Dvonte’ at the wedding. Just like a best friend getting you a date and telling you afterwards 😂

When ai first started the book it felt like I was reading someone’s private thoughts. As interesting the pages I read so far- I do feel like it kinda dragged a bit to get to the most interesting parts. Understanding that having an idea of the characters first makes for a good read.

So far it’s been a page turner. Pretty funny! As if you’re reading someone’s diary.
