The Shepherd's Tale: Told in reverse chronological order, from Book's death on Haven to leaving the abbey, to being homeless, to being kicked out of the Alliance, to becoming a spy for the browncoats, to joining the resistance, and finally to his running away from home as a teenager. A lot of violence throughout.

“Well, If you look at your life as a chain of events, each responsible for the next and caused by the last, where does any story begin”. I chose this quote because I think it really fits well as part of the introduction to the story. It introduces the main character, Shepard, really well. Shepard is a character who thinks critically, especially about life. This quote establishes his thought process (Whedon Samnee 6).
