nobody should cry during this book, what a fucking joke. just to be clear, I haven't turned around on liking this or something, I am just independently emotionally fucked up right now

remains genuinely obnoxious. there could be payoff, but I literally have no idea if Erickson wrote all of this to be annoying or if he thinks this is cool and edgy.... apparently I'm going to finish this though wtf
