Status Updates From Alas, My Love (Botany Bay, #2)

I rather dislike that the author chose to make Amber a rich French royal. Kinda dismisses the message of love beyond family name and status. Also feels unfair to Amayas.

Promising start to the novel. As I saw with the first in this series, the male characters are actually decent people. I like that the novel is from Amayas' perspective and not some random woman that eventually falls in love with him. I am interested in where the plot goes.

Not as good as the first in the Botany Bay series, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading the rest of the series as well as her other books!
