Status Updates From Verlaten (Gone, #1)

I'm impressed because I thought this was going to be a slow paced book, but this quick introduction (the plot explained it whole on the very first chapter) makes sense since it is YA and also feels targeted to a much younger audience for now. As far as I know, it is supposed to get darker but right now I'm enjoying it and not taking the premise too seriously

I like this book already, but I don't really understand how Astrid has worked out in 10 pages that all people over 15 years old have disappeared. I know she's a genius and all, but how the hell did you automatically arrive at that conclusion when you haven't even got out of school yet? I like smart girls, but this is actually plot armor 😭

What I like about this chapter is how it is a solid introduction of the plot and characters but it also has a lot of infodumping that isn't really specified, so I'm still looking forward to read what the characters had been through in their previous life.
