Status Updates From Ariel

I had to pause this book. It’s too dark. It’s pain and grief too recognizable for me to read in the depths of winter. Tulips was extraordinary. I have never read her poetry before and it is creepy and elegant, disturbing and morose. It is all too real too sharp too truthful- lines like “Their smiles catch onto my skin, little smiling hooks”

pls lmk poetry collection recommendations! i am not particularly excited about this collection, its just the only one i own that ive yet to read lol
