unrelenting; i love the trajectory of this first third. feels like you lose control every bit as much as the main character. the meat machines conclusion gets tiresome but you understand (willingly?) that that's where it has to end up. could've been more truncated but then again maybe that would've assuaged the sense of derangement, delirium. the italics are wonderful: feels biblical
