Chapter 3: Authors separate spirituality from religiosity by creating a new definition of spirituality to assert that restorative justice is spiritual, but not religious. I think it is obvious that restorative justice may be spiritual, but not religious. Also, I'm not convinced a new definition of spirituality is required to show this separation.

Authors are overlaying restorative justice principles, or aligning them, to social work principles. As an apparent skeptic of the restorative justice process, these explanations are building a case to win me over. When compared to retributive justice, I see value in how the restorative justice process may more consistently reach rehabilitation goals through changing the perspective of justice seeking process.
