Status Updates From The Buried Giant

I like this book a lot, but the “princess” thing is getting quite annoying. I’m fine with nicknames, but twice in three sentences is a lot.

This is a great book, but so beautifully crafted that it’s slow going, because I find myself wanting to concentrate on every word and analyse every action and description, perhaps to solve a mystery that I’m not sure is even there. As someone who has always sped through books - I could read 5-6 Babysitters’ Club books in a day as a kid - this is unusual for me, even though my reading pace has slowed with age.
