Completely challenging my old Reformed reading of Romans, but not in a way that forces me to change my beliefs about God. Still, Perriman's "narrative-historical" hermeneutic is a bracing tonic against the philosophical theology purveyed by many traditional Reformed theologians. I have enjoyed the first 136 pages of this book more, and got more out of them, than I did from the first 1000 pages of Wright's PFG.
