The writing is definitely better than the first book.
Still, this is early on and I’ve already noticed a few inconsistencies in terms of logic and plot.

And I HATE HATE HATE HATE that at the same time that he is leaving his home he just invites the problem like OM MY FUCKING GOD

I don’t orka (that’s a bit Swedish lol)

And the parents are kinda AI

At least he can build stuff like he’s Leonardo de Vinci.
Anywayssssss rn her part 5/5, his part 1/5

So her part of the book was GREAT. It kinda reminds me of the second to last book in the City off glass series

Then we came to the boy part and he SUCKED SO MUCH, “oh no I’m a prince and I don’t want to be abbhorsen but I have mommy issues so let’s not talk to her instead let’s run away from home and kill someone, yay!” Is basically the story of his life.

I don’t think Im going to finish this book snytingen soon so I’m just going to do a mini review to remember what I thought.

So Lirael was everything good that Sabriel wasn’t, she was good at charter magic and liked reading a lot, the only thing she was worse at was that she had a dog, and that really shows something.
