Status Updates From Women and Men

The “breath” chapters were a real steep learning curve, but having sort of learned to follow their flow (and recognized the surfeit of recurring motifs [read redundant]) I’m starting to pick up on their genius. This has been an utter delight so far!

McElroy can write love. Ann sits and hears her son talk on the phone, which leads her to consider his conversational talents. She thinks of him in such an admiring and sweet way in that moment. As does Larry of Amy, and Mayn of his grandmother.
