My dad really rated this fantasy book and it has a good rating on Goodreads but I just can not connect with it. It’s very slow going in my view. I’m going to shelve it and maybe return one day.

Called the reveal like a chapter and a half ago. I'm so smart, or more likely, this was very obvious.

I like that Ryson is reacting like a 'normal' person would. So often in Fantasy people take stuff in thier stride so although a human reaction was kinda disconcerting it's refreshing too

I am thoroughly uninspired to finish this book.
