I've learned a lot as I read about how aircraft had devoloped through out history including world wars I and II. I also found intresting information about historic fighter pilots and how they had a impact on the avaition world. My favorite fighter pilot that I had read about in this book is Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, who was known to be the ww1 best america's ace pilot.

A veteran of the battles of Britain and Stalingrad, Steinhoff assumed command of Jagdgeschwader 77(77th Fighter Group) in 1943 shorlty before its withdrawal from Tunisia in the force of Allied victory there.

The pilot I've read about was Boyington also known as Pappy who went from the tigers to the balck sheep squadron of blunt boisterous, but deadly air warriors.

I read about Claire Chennault who organized the legendary flying tigers and took on Japans mighty air force in the darkest days of the WW2

As I learned this far reading in the book aircraft has became an effective weapon through out WW2. At this time aircraft was mainly used for reconnisance and bombing. Its intresting how the history of aircraft changed through history.

I read about one of my favorite fighter pilots of all time, Chuck Yeager who was an American WW2 ACE, became the first test pilot to break the sound barrier.
