Incredibly dense yet equally insightful. With the fall of the Ottomon Empire and the establishment of Anglo-French imposed mandates, followed by the equally paternalistic establishment of Israel, it’s clear why the last hundred years in the Middle East have been such a mess. One great Arab nation, vs one great Islamic nation, neither has been achieved, and both attempt an impossible, overly idealistic solution

Didn’t realize Iran established constitutional government almost ~130 years ago, really curious to learn more about the government the UK/USA deposed in the 50’s…
