Hall uses an interfusion of ethology, psychology (behavioral and cognitive), and proxemics to analyze contemporary urban and architectural design practices. He takes common and seemingly insignificant occurrences and applies proxemics to explain how these instances reflect cultural interpretations of thermal space.
