will continue annotating and highlighting my favourites soon. it's already so sweet and I love the little comments they make on the recipes.

was shocked at all the people who blurbed this (harper lee!) but going through the contents there are so many things making me all nostalgic ie red beans and rice, cornbread, sloppy joes, iced tea but also some stuff in here is totally new (what is cooter?). this was published by some indie press in the 80s as a spiral bound book but has become some sort of cult recipe book since then... this seems quite promising...

I’m reading this cover to cover because it’s so interesting, and so far it’s been worth it.

Children's Coffee- 3/4 glass milk, 1/4 glass coffee, 3 teas. sugar.

Well I guess they, get their calcium, sugar, stunt their growth, & bounce off the walls all in one cuppa.

Wow! On Pg. 87 is a recipe for Grand Canyon Cake, that is suppose to be wonderful, colorful & educational for children. The sauce for the cake, melt sugar & butter, add vanilla & salt. Than add 1 cup of Jack Daniels Black Label Whiskey. "Fun & Educational" for the kids!
