This book has all of my favorite tropes in it, right down to the emotionless kiss. I’m very happy.

I’m excited to see this hypocritical female lead get her comeuppance. Anyone who speaks out against slavery so passionately and then flies into a rage at the mere idea of her cousin falling in love with a Black man deserves to have her hypocrisy revealed.
