Found this gem in the preface: “The substitution of NIV for the original KJV quotations of Scripture signifies only a wish for my book to have maximum usefulness and at no point changes my meaning.”
Except words have meaning, and swapping them out changes the context meaning. I wish he had kept all the verses in the KJV version.

Except it does, sir. Words have meaning, and swapping out words changes the meaning of the context. I wish he had kept the original KJV verses instead of swapping them out for a more “palatable” version.
