So it's a harlequin novel. I had to get the audiobook version.

not to be an absolute Picky Latinist but how can you say "in extrema" instead of "in extremis"? "in extremis" is a reasonably common phrase in english; how did she get it wrong? was she trying to be clever by using the accusative or was it just a mistake?
