While the book is a good read, the last few chapters have felt a bit plain as Ben goes over a few of his “Top Gear” experiences. But the chapter “Jet Man” was an outlier, with the story of Hammond's crash in the “Vampire” providing an interesting read, with the chapter “Street Fighting” also being a compelling read, with Ben foretelling a great sense of how one feels through celebrations and mourning.

These few chapters contained fascinating stories about Collins’s experience with “stars in a reasonably priced car”, where he went over some of the most memorable experiences with them and shone the light on the true character of them. But the few stories of doing other challenges on the show did feel a bit dreary, with them feeling a bit drawn out.

The last few chapters have talked a lot about Collins’s time in the army and not a lot about his racing. Which is a shame, as the story of his ASCAR season could have been a great chapter.

Currently a fun read with many interesting tales from his sports car endeavours and his challenges of finding a race seat.

Currently a very good read that talks about Ben’s early obsession with motorsport.
