Status Updates From Star Trek 6

the end of the destruction of Val refers to Milton's expulsion of Adam and Eve from Eden... with Spock's allusion casting Kirk in the role of Satan... but Kirk turns it around and ask, is there Anyone on Enterprise that even remotely resembles Satan... and Spock says Nope... and that's the end.

I kind of viewed THE SAVAGE CURTAIN as an entertainment aside from the real business of ST:OS but I begin to see that their writers were selling sociology and history lesson to the kids (viewers) too. Hence this episode where again Good must triumph (or die) over Evil... now a well-known and common theme of star trek stories.
