Status Updates From Shiki, Tome 1

Up until now, I only knew the anime, because I couldn't get hold of the manga in a language I could understand. I am really happy to be able to finally read the manga series, even so it is very much like the anime, almost panel by panel, so far.

And they say vampire manga is not realistic, we have cops who find three people dropping dead, with one of them having been mangled to the point his skull has caved in and body parts are missing can be blamed on "mountain dogs". Oh and one of them died later so she must have just hung out with the mangled body for days! Completely normal, nothing to see here~~~

Japanese vampires: Christianity cannot hurt them. But Buddhist rites can! Because they are Japanese. Does Shinto work on them? Unsure. It should?
