Happy to get to the end of this.

Quick read. Entertaining story but not much connection to the characters. Plot was fun though.

Fast moving.

Well, I did not expect to like this first book - so far. I just hope this does not turn out like the Anita Blake books which devolved into more about her bedroom three ring circus that about Anita solving preternatural crimes. But can't argue with success as Hamilton is quite successful.

now.. how did this book manage to feel so much for kassandra and lenorre so quickly. 🫤

really enjoying this more than i expected to. been a while since a book made feel giddy. but it may be post-bridgertons2-feels’s influence.
