Status Updates From Wordsworth

Intrigued by the suggestion that the final revision of the poem "Guilt and Sorrow" was inspired by Wordsworth's true conversion to orthodox Christianity and belief in Christ as Savior.

Not a criticism of this particular biography, but a more general comment - What happened to the 250-300 page biography? Whether it's popular or scholarly, every biography now is 1000 pages give or take. (This one is over 1500 pages!) There's something to be said for an exhaustive level of detail, but I would welcome more selectivity and synthesis. And probably read many more biographies.

Maybe getting carried away with my Wordsworth month? Maybe not? I meant to read just the Grasmere years but now I can't stop.

Here I am, grieving Coleridge as if he died today rather than 200 yrs ago.
