Status Updates From Anya's Ghost

This part has always reminded me of a scene from Coraline.

When the Other Mother tells Coraline that soon she'll be seeing things their way, and then sends off to bed.

Let me tell y'all.

When this twist came up the very first time I read this, I was flabbergasted!

The songs "Twisting The Knife" by Ice Nine Kills (ft. Mckenna Grace), "The Prophecy" by Taylor Swift, and "The Cure" by Olivia Rodrigo fit this book so well that it's a little spooky lol.

These were always some of my favorite parts of the book, seeing the real version of herself that she kind of buried.

As much as I love this book, I always forget how much I glare at Anya, lol.

But I get it, I was in high school and felt isolated and angry, too. I think everyone did at one point or another.

Just seems like a right of passage, no matter who you were or what you did then.

Pre-Thoughts: Time for another reread of this, because it is one of my favorite novels/graphic novels, and it has been since I was fourteen years old.

The next day: ghosts are awesome
