Status Updates From Keep the Home Fires Burning

Well not bad so far. However once again, as is always the case, I find, when reading an historical novel, the research seems to have been “dropped in” to the story.

Also we know the book is set in Birmingham but why the use of “Mom” (Americanism”) by the children but then you get the sister talking to Marion and they refer to her as “Mammy”.

I think this book could have done with editing!
