Status Updates From The Dispossessed

ooooo ok i'm getting some star wars vibes

Pretty good. Did not quite live up to what I was hoping from it tbh. I find Le Guin’s writing to be a bit clunky, almost too functional

I THOUGHT YOU WERE BISEXUAL.

Space Adam was evicted from the space garden of Eden for counting all his fingers, which unleashed time… Shevek is working on a theory of time… I think there’s some kind of “theme” in this book…

Lowkey a society that fully sponsors its unis and professors is very rad. Like I understand the whole “profiteering capitalists” angle, but the funding of science isn’t part of that I fear

This Shevek dude is cooooool

Wait guys I think the plot is beginning

The truest representation of the application of different socialist ideologies: LEFTIST INFIGHTINGGGGGGG

He tried to read an elementary economics text; it bored him past endurance, it was like listening to somebody interminably recounting a long and stupid dream.

She’s like if a woman was an absent father, which is, surprisingly, a feminist win for this book

AGHUAGUGHAUGGHUAAAHGUGHAUH

OH MY GOD THATS MOM

Ascetism as freedom, freedom from desires

Last book of the semesterrrr

These sciency words that are thrown around but not explained are, in the end, like the sword of Erreth-Akbe set in the tallest tower of Havnor and the Creation of Éa

Decad = ten days!! I get it!!

THAT MOMENT WITH THE STATUE OF ODO!!! FUCK!!!
