As someone who uses Tarot cards, I find this last bit about Delphi very interesting. I don’t read Tarot cards to know the future, I read them to under the present. Because knowing your future is impossible.

I understand. I also have multiple hypotheses and multiple conclusions and especially parallel praxis. I act differently with different people. I am who I am. Always.

I find it very interesting that the cemeteries are the most well-kept and beautifully natural spots in Crete. As if there is more respect paid to the dead. Also, all the German soldiers buried in a separate cemetery… how lovely, how awful, how sad.

No power lines, beautiful trees and flowers, for the living to see, for the land of the dead.

I’m really enjoying this book so far. Also, people get off work at 2pm a lot of days! That sounds so lovely, instead of working all the way until 5pm five days a week.

Crete sounds wonderful, even with all the rain. Actually, it’s ESPECIALLY because of all the different kinds of rains. Also that picture is really nice, looks really comforting.

Alice and Max-Pol are playing with each other. She sent him so much interesting stuff, I wonder if there really is an answer to the mysteries that Max believes are there?

I bet this Pilar Azul Pujol is our Alice/Allyson/Sanaa!

Oh yeah does Mx-Pol ever get his favorite fountain pen back?

Awww that sketchbook was really sweet and beautiful. I want to see Crete now. Also THE ODYSSEY was mentioned!!! I really want to read that book too!

Louka Mahdis, another alias character but it’s really nice to know Max-Pol wasn’t alone, alone, in Crete.

Did Alice make any of her three wishes yet? Cause this whole chapter seems like this is her first wish…. How old is she again?

Snowflake, the albino gorilla. It wasn’t until he said it that I realized Max-Pol was being Alex’s witness. There’s a difference between being seen and being known.

Alexandros Xenopouloudakhis tells us his story of how he ended up fighting in an un-civil war and breaking his ankle from running. I also don’t agree with wars.

Max1Pol and Alex Evans have a nice friendly lunch. I want to eat there

Marcus’ words ring so true. People constantly change and therefore, relationships constantly change. How can anyone keep up with that? Do I, myself, want a witness? Maybe…. I’m not sure.

Is this a love story between Alice/Allyson/Sanaa and Max-Pol Millay?

This chapter was really sweet. Max-Pol made his three wish.

:( So Alexandros Evangelou Xenopouloudahkis just doesn’t know his biological father nor his mother…? Since she died three weeks after the birth, I’m assuming?

Loved the conversation between Alex and Max-Pol. Also Alex’s March is so much fun to listen to!

We finally meet Alex… why was he beating a fiat with his cane?

I also want to mention that I want to do exactly what Max-Pol is doing. To put myself in exile, away from my family, my country. I want to remake myself.

There is heavy emphasis on music here and I LOVE IT

I don’t know if I am picky eater since I typically eat whatever I am given, whatever is in front of me. Though, every time I eat olives, I’m not particularly fond of its sour-taste. So this whole arrangement of tapas does not sound the most pleasant to eat.

How the heck do I pronounce Alexandros Evangelou Xenopouloudakis???
