Major not like other girls vibes.

This book is confusing.....

“We even did it in the elevator.” “We did it everywhere in the hotel room.” Did WHAT?! Had sex? What the hell? The author describes in detail this weird public scene in the back of a cab and then when they’re finally alone she suddenly can’t even write the word “sex”? Nor an actual scene? Yea, no. This is dumb. The writing is just too juvenile. It feels like a Wattpad book.

“I’m not like other girls, after all.” What person says that about themselves? This is feeling like a big, fat, DNF.

2. Her behaviour is really inconsistent. This whole book so far she’s harping on about how she is guarded, insecure, and a wallflower. That she can’t leave her sister alone and it’s her responsibility to protect Chloe from evil men. But then she gets tipsy, confident, and is like “screw it, I just wanna get laid! Bye, naive, sheltered sister!” Make it make sense.

“I’m peeing in my panties.” …excuse me? I get she probably means “Omg I’m about to pee myself.” But why not just write it like that? Writing it the other way is so off putting. 😬

This is my first book by this author and so far I’ve got… mixed feelings. I’ve been trying to give it a fair shot even though I’ve spotted a handful of inconsistencies already, but the line, “They look like a pair of sluts.” in reference to her sister and childhood friend dancing is so shitty. I get she’s an insecure character and supposedly will have some growth, but yikes.
