Reading The Old Man and the Sea, 9th Day.
Just before it was dark again, the old man's small line at the stern was taken by a dolphin. He pulled it in and lifted it over the stern. Theburnished gold fish pounded the bottom of the skiff with its long, flat body until the old man clubbed it across its golden head. That would be the old man's breakfast for tomorrow, although he knew it would taste terrible.

In the end, the old man won; it was revealed that his name was Santiago El Campeon. The people in the tavern called him champion, but he stopped the matches because it was bad for his right hand. And he needed it to fish.
