Status Updates From Atto d'amore

This is Lansdale's first novel. It's amazing to read because he's already showing the traits that make him a great writer. E.g. I love how he shows you something foul like racism or misogyny and you think for a minute it's his, but it's not. He's showing you the ugliness in society, how it's normalized and then you have to wonder how far you're complicit. And he never says a direct word about it. Mind-blowing skill!
