Status Updates From Shut Up & Write!

This is easily the best book I have read about prose writing. Bridges avoids the pretension I often find in books about writing and makes the craft easily accessible to someone with little prose experience, such as myself. I also appreciate that she provides concrete tasks to improve the writing experience, things like the character wheel.

Reading this book for my creative writing class this semester. The first chapter has me convinced already that this is going to be a great time.
