Once again: what the fuck did I just read

I feel like all these stories need to be in the wtf did I just read tag on here

This is… weird. Once again?

The other stories are a mix of "meh" and insightful, but hands down the best story in this collection is The Long Passage of Dreams. It's an extremely difficult read because it has many references to Greek mythology and Noh plays. Despite my lack of knowledge in both of those subjects, I still think this piece of story is illuminating. It's a thoughtful masterpiece on death, life, and love.

Now I'm on the last (and longest) story in this collection, and I must say that this was not that bad of a read. Kurahashi Yumiko writes a lot about taboo topics and sexualization of women. The stories are a mix of disgusting, disturbing stories and supernatural ones.

Third story - The House of the Black Cat

Kurahashi Yumiko is fucking insane.

This is a DISGUSTING short story. Like morally disgusting type of way.

First story - Extraterrestrial.
About two siblings hatching an extraterrestrial being from an egg that magically appears in their room one day, and later using it as a sex toy. I think there is something to analyze here in this story, but I enjoyed this one as a weird fictional piece.
