Status Updates From Special Topics in Calamity ...

Typically, I start all books slowly because I’m still not over the last book and see the new book like a room in which I’m trying to find the most comfortable spot to settle. My pace gradually speeds up as the new environment provides clarity and suspense. By the last third of the book, it’s a downhill slide to finish. That’s certainly how the last book, A Spot of Bother, went. Same so far with this one.

Okay, one chapter in. I have trust issues with authors who write about characters of single-digit ages reading War & Peace. Even so, I’m enjoying it so far.
